Overview

Paragon is a remote-first company with employees in North America and Asia. Our products help deliver care to patients in many communities around the United States. We are looking for a Product Manager to play a key role in this very important system by being engaged in every aspect of our offering from product conceptualization to delivery. You will work with our customers, company leadership and cross-functional to ensure that our R&D team works on the right thing at the right time.

 

We seek a candidate with a strong healthcare background and ideally a regulatory background, or a strong desire to learn the regulatory arena.  Some training in regulatory will be available – so a candidate with strong healthcare knowledge and willingness to deep dive into regulations may be an option.

 

You will own and drive the investments from a high-level concept design to delivery and operation. You will be responsible for understanding the needs of our customers and customer-facing teams and establishing priorities and a roadmap for the entire product portfolio.

This is a remote role in the US.

 

Responsibilities

  • The purpose of this role is to deliver on product roadmap priorities to achieve time to market and time to value targets by managing the product development lifecycle for a given product(s) through proven technical leadership. This role will be responsible for specific Paragon Regulatory commitments, including but not limited to The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission (TJC) Promoting Interoperability and eCQM programs.  The Regulatory Product Manager will be responsible for the analysis of Promoting Interoperability and eCQM data and methodologies and production of documentation to support product development and subsequently client implementations and support. 
  • Defines requirements and supports specification and use case development for new product features.
  • Works with engineering, QA, professional services, and technical operations during design and implementation to shape the technical feature set and usability of the product and ensure the highest quality products delivered on-time, on budget and with superior performance and support.
  • Analyzes and documents specifications for eCQM and PI measures.
  • Engages with cross-functional team to assure data elements are supported within acceptable user workflows.
  • Ensures performance requirements are met.
  • Plans and manages execution of product roadmaps, development schedules and product/component designs.
  • Coordinates business and contractual arrangements with partners.
  • Trains and supports others on functional area related topics.
  • Supports advisory boards, user groups and as needed.

 

Accountabilities

Manages the product value stream and delivery.

  • Identifies and translates critical market/customer needs into offerings.
  • Utilizes customer and market input to develop new product opportunities, overall product roadmap, and portfolio analysis and allocation.
  • Manages and delivers on the product roadmap.
  • Optimizes investments/spending against priority actions (e.g., maintenance, new development)
  • Makes program commitment.
  • Provides support to develop marketing and launch plans.
  • Conducts channel readiness.

Owns the customer offering from enablement to execution (end-to-end PLM)

  • Defines market requirements to ensure seamless hand-off to Product Development
  • Manages market value proposition to product lifecycle management (PLM) to product delivery processes.
  • Contributes to sales, operational, and channel readiness.
  • Contributes to product positioning activities such as scope, buyer persona, packaging, etc.

Contributes to the solution P&L

  • Develops an initial business case.
  • Partners with functional departments to ensure understanding/commitment.
  • Partners with Finance to inform budget preparation.

 

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (or other healthcare field), business, IT, Marketing, Finance, or business-related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications and professional membership is preferred. It is essential that a person at this level proactively maintain awareness of development methodology and standards to improve project, product, or process quality.

 

 Experience:

  • 7+ years relevant work experience; 2-3 years at the Senior level or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years product management experience.
  • Strong domain expertise in-line with their product area of specialty.
  • Software design experience in complex, multi-tasking, real-time, highly availability systems.
  • Experience working in small, highly focused teams.
  • Must be able to define and manage complex process and/or product issues of a broad scope using independent judgment.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Experience interacting with customers to define and prioritize requirements and specifications.
  • Experience in the US Healthcare Regulatory environment, including CMS and TJC preferred.
  • Experience with eCQM methodologies and reporting preferred.

  • 25%
