Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Human Resources Management
- Monitors and reports workload situation
- Takes part in the selection of the project team members
- Validates the adequacy of the resources and the project needs (if delegated from PM)
- Is responsible for newcomer integration
- Monitors and regularly evaluates the skills of the team and deploys necessary training
- Maintains skills matrices and training catalogue (with support from CoC when deployed)
- Identifies overall resource requirements
- Ensures the right workforce vs workload (capability and availability management)
- Project Management
- Manages technically the Work Package (WP)
- Manages the WP resources (integration, skills ramp-up, flexibility) in collaboration with delivery center leader and business managers
- Captures the relevant KPIs to follow the activity
- Is responsible for operational performance of the team: he/she manages the project team in the execution of
- the project activities
- Ensures technical delivery: quality, schedule
- Ensures back-up solutions
- Plans the project and manages (follow-up, monitoring) project budget in days for production
- Is responsible for up-to-date WP documents (e.g. Project Plan, release process, check lists)
- Prepares Delivery Acceptance Notes
- Manages, at his level, the project events, defines and follows the associated actions
- Identifies and manages risks, ensure mitigation plans and put in place associated actions
- Takes part in the QA reviews, by validating the official reports and implementing the associated corrective
- actions, guarantees all QA processes application
- Ensures escalation of issues
- Identifies opportunities for continual improvement and undertakes the project summary
- Internal
- Reports consumed workload / Estimation To Completion
- Supplies key figures for internal monthly project synthesis,
- Reports all non-conformities toward the PM
- Ensures that health and safety rules are properly implemented and known by each member of the team
- (prevention plan, internal Health and Safety rules, IPE, safety training for newcomers).
- Identifies needed infrastructure and work environment
Education and Experience:
- BSc or MSc degree in Engineering. Preferred with Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in engineering project management.
Qualifications:
- Great communication skills.
- Documented experience from managing change and deploying new ways of working.
- Great working knowledge of technical project management skills such as estimation, project planning, risk management, project controls, and budget management.
- Experience from handling customer relationships.
- Aerospace domain background is a plus. Airbus experience even better.
Salary Range: $70K - $100K
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
