As the Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) at Altamira, you will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in defining and executing the company’s business development strategy. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new market opportunities, and expanding our footprint in AI and automation solutions. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and a strong technical background.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business growth strategy aligned with the company’s objectives.

  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities and innovative revenue streams.

  • Lead sales initiatives with a particular focus on AI solutions and automation offerings.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Take full ownership of the business development team’s results.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team to foster a high-performance, results-driven culture.

  • Address underperformance proactively and implement development plans.

  • Recognize, reward, and retain top-performing team members.

Financial & Revenue Growth

  • Set ambitious yet achievable financial targets to ensure sustainable revenue growth.

  • Monitor and optimize sales incentive structures to maximize motivation and performance.

  • Ensure alignment between business development initiatives and long-term financial objectives.

Strategic Partnerships & Client Relationships

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with strategic partners.

  • Establish strong connections with key decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor.

  • Develop and execute client acquisition and retention strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Service Delivery, and Talent Acquisition teams to align business development activities with company goals.

  • Leverage the expertise of the Engineering team to support sales and presales activities.

  • Drive ongoing improvements to internal structures and processes to support company growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong technical background, preferably with an engineering education and experience as an engineer.

  • Proven experience in business development leadership, ideally in the professional services or technology sector.

  • Deep understanding of AI solutions, automation technologies, and their business applications.

  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills with a track record of managing high-performing teams.

  • Ability to balance strategic direction with hands-on execution.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

  • A results-driven mindset focused on long-term, sustainable growth.

Languages

  • English (full professional proficiency required)
  • Any other language skill is highly appreciated.

Compensation package

In addition to the standard benefits package, which includes 20 days of paid vacation, 10 days of sick leave, and all public holidays,  this role offers a competitive base salary, performance-based bonuses, and a stock option plan granting equity over five years.
