ABOUT ELEVATION

Originating new investments is a highly valued skillset in the private equity industry. Our proprietary deal sourcing engine allows Alpine’s investing and operating teams to buy and then build the best businesses possible. 

Strong performers tend to be organized self-starters that are confident in their communication and critical thinking skills. Compensation is structured to incentivize high performers with an unlimited ceiling on earnings. 

We offer a robust training & development program to open a door to the private equity industry for individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Prior experience or education in finance is not required, but there should be a demonstrated interest in business and investing. Sales or external-facing experience will also translate well for this role. 

THE ROLE

Sourcing is a critical function within Private Equity and spearheads all other activities within the firm. The more deals the Sourcing team surfaces, the more optionality Alpine has to choose from the best opportunities and make informed investment decisions. Alpine has built out a world-class sourcing function, which has allowed it to increase the volume of closed deals by 8x since 2015. Interns will learn how to research and identify markets to invest in, become experts in the Alpine Portfolio, compile lists of prospective companies and their executives, reach out directly to CEOs/Owners with a strongly crafted message to gauge their interest in selling, and strategically evaluate potential investment opportunities. 

Interns will work closely with Alpine employees, as well as Corporate Development employees at Alpine’s portfolio companies. Interns will be based out of Alpine’s office in Salt Lake City, Utah where the origination team (known as Elevation internally) is based. 

Interns are an integral part of our teams at Alpine. We strongly believe in giving interns ownership and responsibility early on so that they can maximize their learning and be ready to meaningfully contribute to the team. We aim for our interns to matriculate into full-time roles in our SLC office. 

Our 10-week summer internship program is for college juniors entering their senior year.
