About the Role:

AlphaSense is seeking a Junior AI Engineer to join our AI & Search mission. This team is responsible for supporting the development and deployment of AI-driven features that power AlphaSense’s search and intelligence capabilities. As part of this team, you will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in implementing AI-based solutions and enhancing the scalability and performance of our systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in developing scalable services for AlphaSense AI and Search products.
  • Optimize the reliability, latency, and cost-efficiency of AI and search services in cloud environments.
  • Contribute to the deployment of AI and Search services in SaaS and cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and product managers to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
  • Learn and apply best practices for working with large language models and vector search.
  • Write high-quality, well-documented code with an emphasis on error handling, caching, and logging.
  • Engage in code reviews and debugging to ensure software quality and reliability.

Who You Are:

  • A recent or upcoming graduate with fundamental understanding of AI concepts, including neural networks, natural language processing, and model training.
  • Proficiency in back-end programming with experience in frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.
  • Experience working with AI models, large language models (LLMs), and frameworks like LangChain is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
  • Basic experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Interest in AI-driven search and a willingness to learn about deploying and optimizing machine learning models.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A team player with a growth mindset, eager to learn and take on new challenges.

Base Compensation*:  $115,000 - $150,000 USD


Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.
