About the Role: 

As a Senior Filmmaker/Videographer, you will lead the charge for the in-house filmmaking discipline and contribute meaningfully to developing a rapidly evolving brand. The work ranges from driving excitement in AlphaSense’s products to staying engaged with our existing members. x`

You bring creative storytelling to the team and are as capable of taking a high-level production approach to your work as well as being a shooter and editor. You understand how to adhere to brand guidelines while building a body of high-fidelity brand content. You possess a strong passion for highly compelling storytelling through films that range from experiential and events documentation to user testimonials,  case studies, product demos and beyond.

You thrive in a collaborative environment. This role will ask you to respond to creative briefs based on business and strategic marketing inputs that you and the broader team will execute upon to make award winning ideas come alive. You’ll be required to present work & communicate your process with clarity & organization. The ability to give and receive feedback as well as implement the work is also a strong attribute needed for this job.

Who You Are:

  • 7+ years of experience in filmmaking, production and editorial, including work with creative agencies or in-house teams.
  • A background in crafting brand and product videos, as well as experience building cohesive visual narratives across industries and platforms.
  • Ability to communicate your vision through compelling storyboards, shot lists, and treatments, while adapting in an iterative production environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to pitch and explain creative concepts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over every project.
  • Proven ability to lead film crews, manage the production process, and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, work independently, and manage multiple productions simultaneously.
  • Experience working across departments to define, prioritize, and execute film projects.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Shape and refine the storytelling approach of the AlphaSense brand, maintaining strict attention to detail in video treatments, color grading, typography, and visual consistency across all video projects.
  • Oversee video production from concept to final cut, including creating production-ready files, editing for social media, and animating motion graphics for ads.
  • Provide visual storytelling leadership in the concept and execution of all video marketing assets, including LinkedIn, Google Ads, influencer collaborations, partnership videos, out-of-home content, direct mail campaigns, and more.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop video content for both digital and physical experiences, creating immersive and cohesive brand narratives across mediums.
  • Continuously improve the video production process, ensuring efficiency while delivering outstanding visual storytelling.
  • Present strategic ideas through engaging video storytelling, challenging creative partners with fresh approaches and innovative concepts.
  • Drive impact on cross-project video initiatives, managing input from diverse stakeholders to align on creative direction.
  • Highly proficient in industry-standard video and post-production software, including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and other editing tools.

Base Compensation Range*:  $130,000 - $160,000

Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
