About the Team:

AlphaSense Marketing is a revenue and pipeline-focused marketing team that encompasses demand generation, product marketing, corporate communications, PR / AR, brand, customer marketing, content marketing, and events. At our core, we’re here to support AlphaSense’s growth, which we do by contributing to pipeline and revenue; developing a brand that’s widely known to the markets we serve, and encouraging user engagement both within our product and with our brand.

About the Role: 

As the Managing Director of Research & Media Engagement, you’ll play a key role in amplifying and maximizing the robust data and insights from the AlphaSense platform, our research partners, and our in-house experts through a strategic program of thought leadership, proprietary research, and media relations. This role requires both a strategic and creative thinker with the ability to connect with the press regularly, build compelling research, and disseminate content to engage prospects, customers, and the wider media landscape. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Scale and manage our Media Access Program by cultivating and maintaining relationships with key members of the press, industry analysts, and influencers, and proactively pitch platform insights and research and analysis on industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Manage and complete time-sensitive research requests by serving as the primary data contact for journalists and industry influencers. Coordinate and run demos, interviews, events, and press interactions in partnership with our PR team.
  • Develop a thought leadership program that leverages the robust data and insights in our platform and research from our internal experts; distribute via a mix of channels and mediums, including whitepapers, newsletters, reports, articles, blog posts, social, and more.
  • Serve as the AlphaSense platform and data expert for all use cases, providing guidance, insight, and creative storytelling to internal stakeholders across the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including our sector leaders, marketing, and product—to package existing content, trends, insights, and company updates for distribution to external partners.
  • Become a SME in AlphaSense’s products, seamlessly integrate deep product knowledge into thought leadership content to showcase the organization's unique capabilities.

Who You Are:

  • Proven experience in editorial or journalist roles, with a track record of building a thought leadership program from the ground up
  • Enthusiasm about technology, generative AI, and search: you must become an expert in everything AlphaSense (e.g. our platform, content sets, business model, customer verticals)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Preferred understanding of financial services
  • Strong understanding of media relations and a sense of urgency when working with press
  • Creative storytelling skills, with the ability to spin or provide a solution to even the most complex questions from the media
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate stories, themes, or trends into clear and compelling narratives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership. You are masterful at building relationships.

Base Compensation Range*:  $200,000 - $220,000

Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
