We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Platform engineer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the Kubernetes clusters, bootstrapping clusters to make them available to use for internal development teams.
This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies, as you look for ways to improve our internal customer’s environments using cloud capabilities. You’ll be able to sharpen your skills in DevSecOps and platform technologies such as Kubernetes hosted in public clouds such as AWS, GCP, and Azure while building cloud-agnostic solutions. As a Senior Cloud Platform engineer, you’ll identify new opportunities to build cloud-based solutions to help our internal customers meet their evolving needs. Requirements:
- 7+ years of Experience in designing, operating, and troubleshooting solutions in the public cloud (GCP Preferred)
- 5+ Years of experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and CNCF ecosystems.
- Proven experience operating Kubernetes clusters with lifecycle management tools (e.g. Rancher, Anthos, CAPI, or Crossplane). Design and implementation of cluster lifecycle management platforms is a plus
- In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes components including API server, CNIs, scheduler, controllers, etc
- Solid understanding of networking, Linux, container orchestration, storage systems, cloud services, security protocols, and system monitoring tools
- Experience with certificate and secret management, CSI provisioners, vertical and horizontal auto-scaling in Kubernetes clusters.
- Ample experience in building highly automated cloud infrastructures with immutable infrastructure and IaC principles (using e.g. Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane etc)
- Experience with scripting in Shell or Python. Good proficiency in at least one programming language - Java/Python/Golang is a plus.
- Experience with the use of version control systems for code management and artifact tracking, including GitHub or JIRA
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) is a plus (but we prefer proven experience)
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with ArgoCD and GitOps methodologies
- Experience with Hashicorp vault or other secret management tool
