About the Role: 

We're seeking a Director of Customer Lifecycle Marketing to own customer journey mapping and develop programs to guide customers toward success at every stage of their journey. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies that enhance customer activation, adoption, and retention through lifecycle marketing. This position involves leading cross-functional teams and requires a deep understanding of and experience with customer journey mapping, segmentation, personalization, email marketing, PLG, and digital reporting and analytics.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead customer journey mapping for the company, covering all touchpoints, deliverables, ownership, and success metrics at each in stage of the journey, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience from initial engagement to long-term retention
  • Establish a customer journey center of excellence, staying abreast of the latest trends, methodologies, and best practices in lifecycle marketing.
  • Develop and implement a lifecycle marketing strategy aligned with AlphaSense’s business goals, focusing on customer activation, retention, and loyalty
  • Lead the design and execution of lifecycle campaigns and programs to engage customers across various stages, including targeted email marketing campaigns, automation workflows, and customer engagement programs
  • Define and monitor key lifecycle metrics to facilitate ongoing campaigns, programs, and optimization, including trial conversion, product engagement, adoption, and retention rates.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of customer needs, inspiring them to extract maximum value from AlphaSense products to achieve their goals
  • Collaborate with marketing, customer success,  sales, and product teams to integrate the customer journey and lifecycle marketing strategies into broader company initiatives
  • Utilize data and analytics to effectively segment and target customers, optimizing communication strategies across different stages of the customer journey
  • Regularly evaluate and report on the effectiveness of lifecycle marketing initiatives using key performance indicators and data-driven insights for continuous improvement
  • Ensure all lifecycle marketing activities adhere to AlphaSense’s brand voice, legal requirements, and industry best practices

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in customer marketing with a demonstrated track record of successfully planning and executing lifecycle marketing programs in the B2B SaaS industry
  • Expertise in leading complex customer journey mapping initiatives in partnership with customer success, sales, marketing and product teams
  • Expertise in lifecycle marketing strategies, including email drip and trigger campaigns, audience segmentation, personalization, A/B testing, and optimizing email deliverability, PLG, and digital marketing
  • Technical proficiency with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Outreach), chat and in-product systems (e.g., Pendo and Qualified), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and Customer Success systems (e.g., Catalyst)
  • Strong data analytics skills, enabling you to extract insights from customer data and assess program ROI to inform lifecycle marketing decisions. Familiarity with Tableau is preferred
  • Ability to collaborate closely with product management teams to understand product roadmaps, features, and updates and seamlessly integrate them into the lifecycle marketing strategy
  • Experience building best in class customer lifecycle marketing teams
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to influence and lead at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to engage stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Passion for results, measurement, and optimization to continuously drive ROI
  • Collaborative team player, willing to go the extra mile to help other team members excel

Base Compensation Range*:  $170,000 - $180,000

Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
