Alpha Public Schools is a public charter school network of four schools educating approximately 1,900 scholars in east San Jose. About this role:

Alpha Public Schools, Inc. is recruiting for our San Jose, CA office: Speech Language Pathologist: Implement direct speech and language fluency classroom services and techniques to identified students with disabilities who meet the eligibility criteria established by federal and state law. Create lesson plans and materials to support students with speech and language needs in classrooms and in direct speech and language therapy. Consult with general education teachers to ensure consistent implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and speech and language goals across all school environments. Provide legally defensible implementation of services, support, accommodations, and modifications as provided by students’ IEPs. Collect data on and monitor individual student performance, adjusting instruction and support as necessary to ensure progress toward IEP goals. Monitor timelines, interact with parents and other staff, and complete all paperwork, forms, and reports. Salary range is $107,977/yr.-$110,136/yr.

You Possess…

  • Master’s or foreign equivalent in Speech Language Pathology, Hearing Sciences, or a related field, and 12 months of experience.
  • A valid California Speech Language Pathology Services Credential or Clinical Rehabilitation Credential or a California Speech Language Pathology License. 
  • A commitment to working with students in traditionally underserved communities. Approximately 80% of Alpha’s students are from under-resourced communities and will be the first in their families to go to college. The majority of our students are Latinx and/or Vietnamese.
