As a senior trading associate you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Equity and Options Trading Operations team. This includes building scalable infrastructure and procedures and nurturing/supporting a strong work ethic from yourself and others in-line with Alpaca’s core values of Curiosity, Global Empathy, and Accountability.
Create and improve upon a world class execution platform
Assist in the Firm’s Best-Execution Program by reviewing post-trade exception reports.
Review Trade Surveillance reports and take appropriate action to resolve alerts
Monitor order flow for irregularities
Timely resolution of client trade escalations
Create/update policies and procedures as needed
Reconciliation of firm error and inventory accounts
Risk monitoring/trading of firm held positions
Maintain firm GTC order book
Create and drive new initiatives
Assist the Director of Trading Operations in the execution of firm objective
Ad Hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned
FINRA Licences:

Series 57
Series 24
Series 63
Series 4 (able to get in 6 months)
Experience with both front and back end processes for trading lifecycle (Equity and Options)
Experience in SQL (willingness to learn)
Experience creating and maintaining relationships with executing counterparties
Experience with order quality evaluations including execution and market manipulation testing
A leader that has a track record of successful team building and creating growth opportunities for their team members
Prior experience with Financial or FINTech startups
Prior experience working with international clients
