OVERVIEW
Alo Yoga is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Corporate Communications to elevate our brand presence and drive our global communication strategy. This leader will play a pivotal role in crafting a cohesive narrative that aligns with Alo’s mission to inspire wellness and mindful living. The ideal candidate will be a passionate storyteller, a strategic thinker, and a collaborative leader with a proven track record in corporate and brand communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate communications strategy that strengthens Alo’s brand equity and aligns with business objectives.
- Build a robust framework for managing internal and external communications, including public relations, crisis management, and corporate storytelling.
- Craft compelling narratives about Alo’s corporate initiatives, sustainability efforts, and community engagement programs.
- Partner with leadership to shape and promote the company’s vision, mission, and values.
- Develop internal communication strategies that foster engagement and alignment across all levels of the organization.
- Partner with the Senior Director of People Operations and HR to communicate key initiatives, events, and updates effectively.
- Develop innovative employer branding campaigns in collaboration with HR, leveraging social media, employee testimonials, and workplace culture initiatives to position Alo Yoga as a top employer of choice.
- Serve as the key point of contact for crisis communications, ensuring timely and thoughtful responses to sensitive situations.
- Develop and maintain a crisis communication plan to protect and enhance Alo’s reputation.
- Lead and mentor one team member focused on employee events, fostering their growth and integrating event communications into broader strategies. Manage communications contractors as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, PR, product, legal, and retail teams to ensure consistent and cohesive messaging.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a similar role, preferably within the fashion, wellness, or lifestyle industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven success in developing and executing global communication strategies that drive measurable results.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Experience managing crisis communication and navigating high-pressure situations with poise.
The base salary range for this position is $150,000-$175,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
