Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Marketing to lead our expansion into the Korean market. This role will report directly to the EVP of Global Marketing and will be instrumental in launching and driving the continued success of alo yoga in Korea. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the Korean market, a passion for wellness, and a proven track record of building and executing successful marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to launch alo in Korea, ensuring alignment with our global brand vision and values.
  • Lead brand marketing efforts, including social media, influencer partnerships, events, and PR, to build brand awareness and drive customer engagement.
  • Partner with the global digital team to drive the e-commerce, CRM and performance media strategy.
  • Build and manage a small, high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Work closely with local consultants to gain insights and provide recommendations for localizing brand messaging to resonate with the Korean audience.
  • Provide strategic guidance on community building initiatives, creating and nurturing a strong, engaged alo community in Korea.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, retail, and customer service, to ensure a seamless and cohesive brand experience.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and optimize marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the marketing budget, track performance metrics, and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including media, influencers, and partners, to amplify our brand presence in Korea.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of marketing leadership experience, with a focus on the Korean market.
  • Strong understanding of brand marketing, social media, community and influencer marketing.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Proven track record in community building and engagement.
  • Passion for wellness, fitness, and the alo brand.
  • Fluency in Korean and English.
