Overview:
As the Assistant Buyer, you will support driving assortment strategies based on sales current inventory and the need of specific markets. The Assistant Buyer must demonstrate a proactive attitude towards taking on new projects and actively seek opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency. In this role, you will help drive business alignment with several cross-functional teams. Furthermore, this role will report into the Senior Buyer for Women’s and help drive the women’s seasonal buys, as well as support the department by preparing various reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Supports Senior Buyer & Women’s team on day-to-day functions and responsibilities.
- Conduct PO Management tasks such as tracking and monitoring Warehouse ETAs
- Partner with allocations team to provide buy details and assortment strategies for initial allocations for Seasonal deliveries.
- Help maintain and update weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting as well as delivery calendars.
- Assist in analyzing sales in-season and post-season, utilize learnings to inform in-season and future season actions, strategies, and assortments.
- Help compile and format recap reports to provide clear and concise summaries.
- Attend all necessary meetings – provide detailed notes and summaries to ensure clear communication and follow-up on action items.
- Conduct cross-channel sales analysis to identify trends and provide recommendations for adjusting inventory distributions.
- Support the Women’s team during seasonal buy periods.
- Responsible for the eventual ownership and management of product categories within the Women's division, under the guidance of the Senior Buyer
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in merchandising/buying/planning preferred
- Entrepreneur spirit
- Natural leader and problem solver with a growth mindset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent Excel skills
- Ability to reprioritize projects frequently.
- Must have ability to multitask.
- Independent, proactive, team player.
- Attention to detail: Ability to meticulously review data and documentation to ensure accuracy.
The base salary range for this position is $66,560-$70,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
