OVERVIEW:

Alo is looking for a dedicated, driven, proactive and inspired individual to assist the Product Development Team as Sample Coordinator. The candidate’s responsibility is to provide support from inception to completion of the product line and take ownership of all samples throughout each season.  The responsibility of this individual will be to ensure that all samples requested are managed, tracked, and properly stored in the most organized way possible.  Time management and organization is key to this role.

The ideal candidate will have an apparel education and background with an understanding of textiles and working knowledge of PLM/Excel.  This is a fast-paced environment and the ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure on a daily basis is a must.  The ideal candidate must also be able to creatively approach problem solving and juggle multiple tasks. 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate salesman samples ordering, tracking in Excel, and organizing
  • Manage receipt of Proto samples through SMS
  • Close working relationship with Merch, Creative, PR, Tech Design, Production, and overseas vendors
  • Responsible for tracking, storing, hanging SMS for every season
  • Communicate with cross functional partners on any delays of samples
  • Prepare, send, receive sample packages via DHL

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in the apparel industry preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with appropriate sense of urgency
  • Commitment and superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, build trust and relationships with vendor & company staff
  • Working knowledge and understanding of product development
  • Understanding of product cycle timeline and garment construction
  • Demonstrates self-control and resilience in stressful situations.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work environment.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and listening skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, & Outlook.
  • Proficiency in PLM

The range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hour which represents the current range for this non-exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
