Overview:

The Production Manager works closely with internal teams & vendors to produce & deliver best-in-class product in time for product launch. Primary responsibilities include monitoring production activities & lead times, planning vendor capacities & communicating thorough status updates for relevant categories. Maintaining profitability, on-time delivery & best practices for business and garment vendors are core competencies for this role.

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Teams to elevate collective performance and to exceed Supply Chain goals
  • Support strategic objectives of the production functions through system enhancement, process implementation & performance reporting
  • Oversee production activity for on-time delivery, profitability & problem troubleshooting
  • Work on multi-season production calendars and ensure execution for all tasks related to production cycle are being met
  • Provide delivery reports and summaries to Senior Manager and other cross-functional partners as requested
  • Lead cross-functional status meetings for delivery reporting of relevant categories
  • Ensure production related KPIs are being met for relevant categories including but not limited to on-time performance, lead time validation and air freight totals
  • Monitor production lead times as provided by suppliers and vendors for accuracy and challenge where necessary
  • Partner with Supply Chain leaders on capacity planning by mill, garment vendor, garment factories and global regions
  • Communicate seasonal and long-range forecasting plans with garment vendors to secure necessary capacity for bulk orders
  • Collaborate with Product Development Team on allocation of bulk orders to appropriate garment vendors through careful consideration of available capacity, capability, workmanship and costing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Teams to ensure on-time delivery per set calendar dates
  • Manage purchase orders for entire order lifecycle from issuance to closing at time of receipt
  • Manage landing factors for garment costs to ensure accurate LDP prices
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity & consistency of relevant categories
  • Confirm bulk handover deliveries with garment vendors through WIP management system at time of buy handover
  • Monitor garment vendor systemic WIP status for accuracy and on-time performance
  • Ensure Tech Design has received PP and TOP samples per agreed upon T&A dates
  • Partner with Product Integrity, Raw Material, Tech Design and Product Development Teams to troubleshoot issues that arise during production and reach a resolution
  • Lead bi-weekly garment vendor meetings via Zoom for current performance evaluation
  • Participate in quarterly garment vendor meetings via Zoom for seasonal KPI evaluation
  • Monitor item packing details closely, eliminating repack requests to DC Teams
  • Issue chargebacks to garment vendors as necessary for production delays
  • Partner with Logistics Team on movement of freight from departure of garment factory to DC delivery
  • Partner with DC, Product Integrity and Digital Teams to execute timely product launches
  • Manage a small team of direct reports
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork & employee development to achieve operational goals & maintain a positive work environment

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Proficient in PLM, ERP & systematic WIP systems
  • Thorough understanding of product lifecycle timeline and production processes
  • Positive attitude & desire to develop & improve
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years experience in Production or similar role

The base salary range for this position is $95,000-$125,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
