OVERVIEW

As a Senior Sourcing Manager, you will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to deliver outstanding products to the Alo customer by leveraging proximity, innovation and strategic supplier partnerships in our source base. As you work in this newly formed team, you will demonstrate your entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility, growth mindset, and innovation skills to advance our world-class sourcing and business partner strategies.  

You will play a role in the assessment and elevation of supplier and production capabilities, executing strategies that bolster the Alo supply ecosystem. You will drive sourcing strategies that align to business goals and the critical needs of the relevant category, as well as utilize advanced negotiating skills to help Alo achieve our value and financial plans. You will develop and manage a supplier matrix and production strategies that elevate performance, boost profit, drive speed to market and deliver on sustainability commitments, through an optimized and rationalized supplier base. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Synthesize data from multiple sources and departments
  • Conduct seasonal analysis to provide fabric staging recommendations
  • Develop metrics to report on department KPIs
  • Analyze sales at the fabric level to determine rolling on hand stock shelf
  • Provide quarterly reporting of staged fabric usage.
  • Actualize capacity booked against projections
  • Document and provide quarterly financial fabric promise commitment to leaders/finance
  • Analyze cost components and the global raw material market to provide data to support negotiations
  • Create and manage Strategy Documents for each individual fabric supplier 
  • Create and manage Negotiation Template for each individual fabric supplier  
  • Manage forecast reporting throughout negotiation cycle.
  • Provide suppliers with forecasts to begin negotiations and issue commitment award communication.
  • Communicate directly with fabric suppliers to manage fabric production WIP report and program execution for on time delivery
  • Provide flexibility through managing negotiations of chase/cancel/shift-out fabric inventories in response to Merchant/Buying needs supporting speed and flexibility 
  • Build and maintain bulk materials library as resource for Production 
  • Manage raw material staging booking dates with each fabric supplier by season in order to support on time production delivery. 
  • Ensure all raw materials meet performance testing requirements prior to commitment award.
  • Partner with fabric suppliers to reconcile fabric usage each cycle
  • Identify solutions for potential raw materials liabilities
  • Conduct fabric supplier onboarding 
  • Elevate supplier matrix by evaluating capabilities, lead times, and flexibility and providing consistent feedback for Fabric Supplier Score Card.
  • Conduct quarterly matrix health review
  • Support Sr. Director of Fabric Sourcing in creating fabric suppliers annual and long-range plans

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 6-8+ years’ experience in international sourcing/raw material production.
  • Expert technical knowledge of yarn spinning and processing, weaving and knitting processes, fabric dyeing, printing and finishing with an emphasis on performance fabrics both synthetic and natural fibers.
  • Expert technical knowledge of garment dry and wet processing, dyeing, printing and finishing.
  • Knowledge in the manufacturing of cut and sew garments. 
  • Knowledge in supply chain traceability road mapping
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking skills, as well as demonstrated financial & excel skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively 
  • Ability to work in a growth environment
  • Pro-active and self-motivated; comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly evolving business priorities

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
