OVERVIEW
Alo Yoga is looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to develop learning programs and educational content across our retail stores in order to support the needs of the business and grow our talent. This role will partner closely with cross functional subject matter experts across multiple functions to produce top tier materials that are dynamic, engaging, and scalable.
REQUIREMENTS
- Become an expert in Alo’s products, mission, values, guest experience expectations and operations
- Partner with subject matter experts to storyboard and design training modules and content based on business needs
- Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps or opportunities with existing training
- Collaborate with retail leadership to align training initiatives with business goals and objectives
- Design thoughtful, impactful and measurable content with targeted / strategic types of delivery i.e. video, self-guided, facilitator-led workshops
- Develop supporting training assets such as facilitator guides, one-sheets, group takeaways, graphics, scripts, assessments, and long/short format videos
- Analyze, refine and advise on improvements for existing training materials
- Act as a key stakeholder in the administration of content within Alo’s Learning Management System
- Stay up to date on trends and best practices in instructional design and adult learning theory
- Partner closely with retail trainers, store teams, and field leaders to address feedback and continuously improve offerings
- Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of experience in an Instructional Design / Content Creation role, preferably in a retail environment
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Expert knowledge of instructional design theory and approaches
- Experience with design and e-learning platforms such as InDesign, Articulate Rise 360
- Ability to share portfolio of content across various formats (video, courses, handouts)
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Collaborative, adaptable, creative, team player
- Comfortable balancing multiple competing priorities
- Ability to travel to stores as needed to support with context gathering and content creation
The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
