The Financial Services department of Allworth Financial is looking for an entry to mid level Estate Planning Specialist to add to its growing team to provide integrated financial services to our clients, including estate planning. The ideal candidate should have prior basic knowledge of the field of wills, trusts, and estate planning and should have the necessary communication skills to work directly with clients.  We are not looking for an attorney to draft plans but more a support person to be client facing and educate clients during meetings on their options.  

The Estate Planning Specialist will report to the Estate Planning Manager and will be primarily responsible for assisting the Estate Planning [Manager] with advising clients regarding estate planning matters.  The position will assist financial advisors with the use of estate planning technology tools and will also assist with the management and delivery of Allworth’s estate planning offering to clients. 

This is a full-time, exempt role with hybrid options in one of our primary office locations: Folsom, California/ Addison, Texas/ Cincinnati, Ohio, or Remote.  The pay range for this role will be $70,000-$100,000 and is dependent on prior experience and education.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Estate Planning Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Estate Planning Manager in educating financial advisors regarding estate planning services offered and in providing estate planning services to clients
  • Preparing meeting materials to illustrate estate planning options to clients
  • Participating in meetings with clients to discuss estate planning
  • Monitoring and reporting on service and solution standards
  • Managing client data and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of experience working in the trust/estate planning field with an understanding of financial planning
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Microsoft Office skills, Zoom, Salesforce or other CRM experience preferred
  • Previous experience with financial planning software such as Moneyguide Pro, eMoney and EP Navigator (or similar) preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Keen sense of urgency with excellent multi-tasking skills.  Ability to juggle multiple assignments and responsibilities effectively to meet desired outcomes within required timeframes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and advanced problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently to successfully manage matters from start to finish, seeking assistance when required. 
  • Ability to handle confidential materials and information.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with an ability to influence.
