About The Role 

Come join a creative and collaborative team of scientists dedicated to leveraging emerging insights in RNA biology. We develop novel classes of oligonucleotide therapeutics to treat human diseases and improve human health. You will play a critical/vital role in DMPK Group and work closely with internal partners and external collaborators to enable the identification of multiple drug candidates for human clinical studies. We are seeking a collaborative and highly motivated DMPK Scientist. To succeed, you will need to be an enthusiastic team player, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working on complex problems. The work will involve the design, placement, monitoring, data analysis, and reporting of the in vivo and in vitro studies to support the development of tRNA-based therapies. You are expected to work in the dynamic environment interacting with multiple upstream and downstream functions.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Design, implement and interpret the results of in vivo and in vitro DMPK studies.
  • Oversee external studies at CROs and serve as a point contact for Alltrna.
  • Perform analysis, QC, and reporting of PK data.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of DMPK studies, relevant communications and data.
  • Prepare research reports and contribute to the preparation of regulatory applications.
  • Serve as DMPK and bioanalytical representative on cross-functional project teams.

Qualifications and Skills

  • PhD in biology, pharmacology, or related field of study with minimum of 5 years in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry working on multifunctional project team.
  • Expert comprehensive knowledge of DMPK assessments of preclinical drug candidates in general, and preferably oligonucleotides.
  • Working knowledge of documents preparation for regulatory submissions.
  • Deep understanding of the drug discovery process, from target validation through identification of drug candidates for clinical development.
  • Expertise in design and analysis of in vivo pharmaco- and toxicokinetic study designs and analyses.
  • General knowledge of bioanalytical techniques relevant to nucleic acids quantification.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent DMPK function in matrixed environments.
  • Expert knowledge in data spreadsheets (Excel), GraphPad Prism and WinNonlin  to process and present the DMPK data in support internal reports and regulatory submissions.

      The preferred candidate will ideally also possess the following skills and knowledge:

  • Knowledge of specialty software for PK/PD analysis and modeling (WinNonlin, Berkley Madonna, R).
