 About The Role 

Alltrna is seeking to hire a highly motivated and independent individual to join our fast-growing Pharmacology team and support pre-clinical programs. The successful candidate will particularly contribute to method development and bioanalytical tool implementation for in vitro/ex vivo studies. As part of a collaborative environment, the candidate will have the opportunity to acquire new skills and work closely with cross-functional teams. Core Responsibilities                                                                                                       

  • Design, execute and optimize the in vitro culture for established and primary patient cells
  • Contribute to the development, optimization, validation, and troubleshooting of bioanalytical methods to support pre-clinical programs in a matrix environment
  • Design, develop, optimize and execute in vitro cell-based assays such as Western, ELISA, MSD, RT-PCR, qPCR, and FACS, etc.
  • Perform transfection and measure biological activity of nucleic acid compounds
  • Analyze, interpret, and organize data to prepare clearly articulated experimental reports and present the results at internal meetings
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications and Skills

  • BS/ MS or PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, or a related discipline with 0 - 5 years of lab research experience, preferably in an industry setting (4 years for BS, 2 years for MS).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture techniques, including patient primary cells
  • Proven hands-on experience with cell-based analytical assays such as Western, ELISA, MSD, Luminex, RT-PCR, qPCR, flow cytometry, and high content imaging
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking skills, independently generating reliable data and analyzing the results in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge in data spreadsheets (Excel) and GraphPad Prism

The preferred candidate will ideally also possess the following skills:

  • Experience with in vitro culture of hepatocytes and fibroblasts is preferred
  • Experience with biological sample handling including processing various tissues is a plus
  • Experience of working with CROs is a plus
