A rapidly growing, entrepreneurial technology company, Alarm.com is seeking an IT Associate to join its Corporate IT team. The IT Associate will have a broad range of responsibilities including providing first line help desk support to employees and assisting them with hardware and software problems via phone, email, and in person. The ideal candidate is well versed in technology, has a keen problem-solving sense, excellent communication skills, and the desire to work alongside many other departments. PLEASE NOTE: This position requires full-time, in-office attendance. Please be aware that remote work is not an option for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting computer software and hardware, including the latest Windows Operating Systems, Office 365, Linux, network connectivity, Apple Operating Systems, mobile devices, printing and scanning services, telephony, video conferencing, audio-visual services, and other relevant technologies. • Providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. 
  • Logging and documenting service interactions in the ServiceNow ticket system, managing equipment and software inventory, maintaining supplies, and overseeing the stock of necessary components. 
  • Contributing to the daily management of telecommunications systems, incorporating essential software administration tasks. 
  • Providing day-to-day IT support of applications and technologies for a fast-paced environment. 
  • Creating graphics and documents, providing tutorials, and training users on standard Alarm.com software and hardware, with a commitment to diligently documenting all activities and processes. 
  • Perform administrative duties for all applications within the Alarm.com ecosystem.
  • Enforcing the corporation's IT policies, standards, procedures, and IT compliance frameworks. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of IT Service Desk experience
  • At least one year of experience installing, maintaining, and supporting Windows, Mac OSx and mobile operating systems.
  • At least one year of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computers, including hardware and software installations
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the following areas: TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, DNS, VPN, SSO, LDAP and Cloud
  • Experience with Exchange, SharePoint, and Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience working in a hybrid environment comprised of on-premises and SaaS-based solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively present information
  • Proven analytical, interpersonal, writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
  • Possession of CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications is highly desirable for this job role.
