Description:

We are looking for someone with a scientific background that is passionate about customer interactions to build and lead our inside sales team. Someone who thrives on building and growing customer relationships in pursuit of achieving sales forecasts. This role will be responsible for establishing inside sales processes and building out a team that will become global in nature. The long-term success of this team will depend on the foundation this leader creates. If you are someone who has a combination of drive, organizational and technical skills and communications capabilities, come and start a team that will work with our sales and marketing teams to make an impact in the world of proteomics.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for generating high quality leads for sales of life science products in a defined territory
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to create a high quality lead generation and qualification process with defined metrics
  • Build effective customer relationships, develop opportunities, and achieve forecasts set with your input
  • Build and increase customer database and, using salesforce CRM, coordinate processes for assigned territory and customer base including academia, pharma, biotech, and CROs
  • Identify, qualify, develop and support sales in platform, assays and services
  • Manage and close leads generated by colleagues in sales, service and support, and marketing
  • Communicate with key stakeholders in accounts to uncover opportunities and share Alamar’s product information via sales presentations
  • Participate in sales and product training, marketing campaigns, conferences, to develop effective selling skills to represent the Company
  • Increase revenue by extending quotes based on Company guidelines and competitive pricing
  • Evaluate processes, create new ones and improve effectiveness for Company and sales organization

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in science related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of inside sales experience for a life sciences/biotechnology company with track record of achieving results
  • Excellent communications skills and experience presenting to clients to secure sales
  • Attention to detail, familiarity with SFDC, Power BI and other MS tools
  • Sales driven, self-starter, organized, confident and team player
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as required

The base salary range is $85,000 - $115,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
