Aktana is looking for SRE who will manage infrastructure using various tools & technologies used in modern cloud infrastructure in fast-paced environment. As an associate SRE, you need to work on monitoring of critical production environments, addressing PagerDuty alerts, Incident Management, prioritization of issues, product deployments, upgrades and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues based on severity, providing RCAs and ensuring SLA timelines. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, self-motivated, proactive and solution oriented.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining Aktana SaaS services on different environments. Environments include internal development, testing, and staging environments as well as production environments.
  • Working in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support critical production environments
  • Hands-on day to day operational support and ensuring SLA timelines 
  • Good understanding on monitoring, alerting, and log analysis tools
  • Incident Management and RCA processes 
  • Have deep troubleshooting skills on Infrastructure issues
  • Have good problem-solving skills, eager in learning and understanding environments. 
  • Should work well both independently and in a team culture (one team)
  • Experience on working in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Adopting new technologies and building new skillset

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCES 

  • Professional experience in supporting Production Infrastructure
  • Fair knowledge on virtualization, cloud computing, and web services 
  • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, GCP, or any other cloud technologies
  • Core Linux administration with networking concepts
  • Knowledge in Rundeck, PagerDuty is added advantage
  • Knowledge in Prometheus, Grafana and Splunk is a plus or any equivalent tools
  • Knowledge in AWS core services, EKS, and security compliance 
  • Knowledge in scripting/automation: Shell, Python, Ruby (a
  • Must have 2+ years of experience on cloud infrastructure 
  • B.S. degree in Computer Engineering or related field
