The role

We’re growing and need a Strategic Partnerships leader with a proven track record of success in building strategic partnerships, growing channel revenue, identifying & engaging new market segments all leading to strong product adoption and continuous revenue growth. You will be responsible for developing relationships with key product partners and identifying, leading due diligence efforts & contracting with new partners to support the growth of our client base. This is a high visibility, high impact role and an amazing opportunity if you are a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, while conveying compelling value propositions internally and externally. This is a new role at Akoya and you will be tasked with developing Akoya’s partnership strategic plan as well as executing on this strategy. This job has the potential for serious impact and growth at a scaling company on an honorable mission!

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Building a high-quality pipeline through your strong prospecting strategy with structured sales activities that yield results
  • Leading the end-to-end deal process for new product partners from discovery to scoping to evaluation to contract signing
  • Growing existing product partnerships and ensuring they continue to generate mutual value
  • Developing strong cross-functional relationships with Akoya’s Finance, Legal, Marketing, Product and Technology teams
  • Analyzing market trends to identify ways to improve partnership sales and marketing efforts
  • Continuously monitor key industry and competitive trends to inform strategy
  • Increase market awareness and enhance Akoya brand, by hosting and/or attending targeted industry events and conferences
  • Consistently define (and redefine) success factors for prospect decisions, with course correction as needed
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Skills You Bring

  • 10+ years prior experience scoping, evaluating, and negotiating product partnerships that are first of their kind
  • Deep experience and strong network in the Open Finance space and a passion for shaping the products which will define the space moving forward
  • Track record of managing senior external relationships as the primary owner
  • Deep experience in managing enterprise partner relationships
  • A strong operational mindset and the ability to manage multiple complex, cross-functional workstreams
  • Creative thinking and outstanding interpersonal and communication/writing skills to make complex contractual, technical, and financial details more digestible
  • Demonstrated strategic vision, analytic and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivation and an eagerness to learn
