THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Build and help manage development of mobile and web applications
  • Write structured, tested, readable and maintainable code for React Native apps
  • Perform profiling, debugging and performance tuning
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distributed knowledge
  • Help maintain the engineering READMEs and documentation
  • Oversee and work with junior mobile developers
  • Drive key decisions in our platform development as an engineering leader
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product leadership to build roadmaps and deliver upon them
  • Ability to design, create UI best practices, and enjoy crafting amazing user experiences
  • Present outstanding communication skills

WHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED: 

  • Minimum three to five years development experience
  • Demonstrable React Native and JavaScript skills
  • Familiarity with Python, Node.js, and some of the following technologies
    • TypeScript
    • React
    • Vue.js
    • Flask
    • PostgreSQL
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience leading technical teams
  • Cross-functional team experience with the ability to work independently and coordinate with and lead outsourced developers
  • Excited about being part of a hyper-growth startup with a fun, scrappy mentality
  • High intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Highly analytical with strong ability to work with data
  • Can implement efficient processes and drive fast execution
