Job Summary

The technical coordinator is responsible for providing project management support to cross functional teams and respective expertise areas within the Technical Operations organization.  The candidate will report to CMC project management and provide support to budgeting, project execution, and logistics.  The ideal candidate will have prior experience with CMC development within a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company in late-stage clinical development or near commercialization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee technical project components, ensuring deliverables align with the overall project objectives and timelines
  • Support TechOps on negotiation and execution of confidentiality disclosure agreements, consulting agreements, master service agreements, and work orders for CDMOs and CROs abiding by internal procedures
  • Track and drive contracts to completion according to internal priorities as defined by Tech Ops business
  • Review invoices to ensure appropriate billing according to terms and executed scope of work for Tech Ops
  • Partner with legal and finance to solve day-to-day contracting issues and provide short-term and long-term view of pending work
  • Provide support to CMC project management for preparation and management of budgets, as well as execution of project deliverables
  • Provide support to CMC project management to maintain project timelines, risk registers, and communicate project status
  • Help facilitate cross-functional CMC sub-team meetings to ensure alignment, track any CMC-related issues or risks, and maintain CMC meeting minutes
  • Generate reports related to project milestone as requested
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as required by management

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Technical Operations (Manufacturing, Analytical/QC testing, Packaging, Distribution) with project management experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are required
  • Works well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications; comfortable and quick learner with other software systems
  • Demonstrates collaborative communication and problem-solving spirit.
  • Willingness to do what needs to be done in a dynamic environment.

Technical Requirements and Skills:

  • BS degree required. Degree in life sciences/engineering strongly preferred, professional certifications (i.e. PMP) will be a distinct advantage

Compensation: 

  • Below is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on a number of factors including, experience, education and skill set, and geographic location. This range is for the San Francisco Bay Area, California location and may be adjusted to the labor market in other geographic areas. 

    Pay range: $90,000 - $105,000 per annum
