A Snapshot

As Project Manager reporting to our Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with our Development team, making an impact in a number of ways:

  • Project manage and lead all aspects of construction related activities for new builds and fit out projects, including ownership of the project scope, timeline, budget and quality
  • Work with AirTrunk customers and design teams to develop scope and designs for the seamless implementation and execution of data hall and office fit outs

Your Day to Day

  • Project delivery; manage Safety, Quality, Time and Cost on new data hall projects. Driving design, ensuring GC remains on track with critical path activities and assisting with unblocking issues.
  • Build project scope and equipment requirements and assist with proposals and capital requests.
  • Review constructability of building and critical services systems designs associated with the construction of new structures and data hall fitouts.
  • Collaborate with AirTrunk Operations teams to manage contractor access and works within an Operational environment.
  • Be an authority within the project group and within internal/external teams that support the data centre and related projects.
  • Assist with managing Owner Supplied Equipment vendors for major equipment related to data hall fitouts e.g. Switchroom containers, Generators, Transformers, large Mechanical equipment etc.
  • Assist with development and review of tender packages, including building scope of works, tender evaluations, reviews and recommendations
  • Develop and manage cost reporting, including project budgets, cash flows, forecasting and cost to complete reports
  • Review and assist vendor claims, including payment claims, invoices, variations and time related claims

Requirements

  • 7-9 years' construction management/delivery experience (in projects over 30,000 m2)
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical/electrical/civil engineering; project management or architecture is a plus
  • Ideally, you have experience working for a data centre operator and/or fast track, large scale projects in a GC/consultant/developer capacity
  • Exceptionally flexible and forward-thinking as you have to be ready for a continuous change in direction
  • Results focused and a “get things done” approach
  • Enjoys the cut and thrust of being onsite – this role won’t suit someone who prefers being in the office
  • Prepared to travel across APAC as required
