A Snapshot
As the Senior Contracts Manager - Development, you will report to the Construction Commercial Director, and work closely with the rest of the Development team, making your mark in a number of ways:
- You will provide leadership and advice to support the delivery teams in all aspects of commercial and contract issues across the entire lifecycle of our data centre developments
- You will negotiate sophisticated contracts at the highest levels of the business, both domestically and internationally, including the development and management of all contractual documentation
Your Day to Day
- Lead procurement and contracting strategies for existing and new regions
- Lead contract, cost and claims management across AirTrunk Development projects, as the first point of escalation for day-to-day matters for in-flight projects
- Resolve contract interpretation issues and disputes in a creative manner, balancing both parties’ objectives and the long-term implications of changes or solutions
- Develop and handle effective and streamlined processes and procedures and develop metrics quantifying performance across all projects
- Assist with innovations, initiatives and continuous improvements sought at increasing time and costs efficiencies of the delivery of our data centres
- Develop sophisticated business cases and analysis to management
- Develop and review tender packages including developing scope of works, bid templates, tender evaluations, reviews, and recommendations
- Concurrently handle multiple projects including new data centre buildings and capital improvement projects associated with existing data centres
- Travel to data centre sites both domestic and internationally for project initiation, project reviews and audits, constructability reviews, commissioning, project close out, and the like as required.
Requirements
Required:
- A relevant or equivalent degree such as Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering with a minimum of 10 years work experience
- Strong understanding of contract management and administration with a sound understanding of contract law
- Strong communication, negotiation, contract drafting and presentation skills
- Shown success in directing and influencing multi‐disciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver high quality outcomes
- Shown leadership and problem-solving skills
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills in English and have an attention to detail and be able to maintain high quality standards
Preferred:
- 5 years’ experience in a commercial leadership role
- Built and led a successful team
- Has experience with fast track design/build projects
- Has international experience (ideally APAC) with significant exposure to Contracts +SGD$150m
