Airtime is building the next generation of live, social platforms. We’re looking for an exceptional Design Program Manager to join us on our journey. This is a high-impact role with autonomy and empowerment to affect change at the foundational level of our team. We’re looking for passionate problem solvers who are excited about the opportunities that arise from building systems and process that allow for our teams to consistently concept, design, build and ship better experiences.

This would be the first Design Manager at Airtime - and you will collaborate closely with the VP of Product and Design on all aspects of the design pipeline from user research, information architecture, User Experience, interaction design, prototyping and visual design. You should be comfortable working with ambiguity as you collaborate to create processes that accelerate the ability of the team to ship paradigm-shifting products in this space.

As a Design Program Manager you will have the agency to improve communication and collaboration within the design and cross-functional teams, as you coordinate and track the design program and projects. As well as experienced in team coordination you will be interested, if not familiar, with initiatives intended to develop team culture and impact.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the Design Program by establishing and implementing workflows and initiatives that remove friction and allow scaleability, efficiency and creativity across the design development lifecycle while promoting a positive, inclusive environment.
  • Track assignments, dependencies and milestones between UX/Product Design, Product Managers and Engineering to keep product development on track.
  • Facilitate team meetings to ensure progress towards goals and objectives, while establishing clear next steps and owners as well as clearing blocks that impede progress.
  • Support the PED (Product/Engineering/Design) team with effective communication, proactive problem solving, information distribution
  • Seek out educational, inclusive opportunities for the Design team.

What you’ll bring to the table

  • An open, curious and collaborative mindset with an enthusiasm for empathetic design.
  • Experience as a digital producer, project manager or program manager with a track record of developing process, supporting design teams, and developing relationships.
  • An exceptional set of organizational and interpersonal skills & methods that see you comfortably co-ordinating designers, researchers and copywriters from roadmaps to facilitating reviews on the way to delivery.
  • Experience with project management tools like Asana, JIRA and others, and experience creating design-specific workflows.
