As design director on the Core set of teams, you’ll help lead strategy and give guidance to direct the future of our product, all while hiring, growing, and inspiring an amazing team of designers.
What you’ll do:
Think deeply about the future of software creation
This is a complex problem space. You’ll immerse yourself in company strategy and guide your teams to better understand our biggest opportunities alongside our passionate team of researchers, data scientists, and customer specialists. You’ll think holistically about the architecture and systems that make Airtable work, often reaching the org to drive that coherence and consistency.
A very satisfying amount of design
You’ll oversee the design of high-quality features and workflows and foster a sense of ownership throughout the process from your team. One of your ongoing missions will be to ensure we’re both designing the right thing and designing it right.
Shape our strategy
Great strategy happens at all levels within Airtable. You’ll be entrusted to facilitate the creation of that strategy in ways that are both insightful and inspiring, creating opportunities and possible directions without being overly prescriptive. Most importantly, you’ll work with your cross-functional peers to realize how these strategies actually turn into roadmapped work that’ll see the light of day.
