Role Description: 

We are looking for a Product Designer to join our international R&D team. You will be working on a software product for the exciting time-critical logistics space that will not only disrupt a whole industry, but will in some cases even save lives. Our software is used by internal as well as external users to book, plan, monitor and execute time-critical transports. As the Product Designer, you will play a key role in Airspace’s global expansion and you will design features to improve our capabilities to serve the time-critical needs of customers and industries around the globe. 

 

Your role with us:

  • As part of the international R&D team you will be working side by side with a diverse group of software engineers, product managers and product designers;
  • You will dive deep into the time-critical logistics domain to understand the requirements and analyze user behavior to create smart, game-changing product features;
  • Partner with the different stakeholders from the different Airspace departments as operations, revenue and finance to ensure that the product and its design support their needs and are aligned with the Airspace vision;
  • Work closely with our Directors of Product and Engineering and other stakeholders to align roadmaps, priorities, and resource requirements;
  • Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of our internal and external users;
  • Translate user insights and business goals into design concepts and solutions.
  • Create interactive prototypes and wireframes to test and validate design ideas and flows before full development;
  • Collaborate closely with our engineers to ensure designs are feasible and implemented correctly;
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback and testing results to enhance usability and user satisfaction;
  • Shadow and interview our users to identify top problem areas and validate desirable, impactful, and feasible solutions;
  • Drive the innovation and evolution of our product by defining feature requirements and writing user stories



We’re excited if you:

  • Are passionate, friendly, and humble;
  • Have 2+ years experience as product designer or in similar roles; 
  • Are curious and hungry to learn;
  • Posses deep customer empathy and curiosity that is paired with skills to uncover real problems;
  • Have experience in defining detailed and well-researched product features;
  • Are excited about helping teams to deliver impactful user experiences;
  • Are curious to get to the bottom of the real problem and take an iterative approach to solve it;
  • Understand priorities and time management;
  • Are confident in agile development practices and working with JIRA, Confluence, and the Google G-Suite;
  • Are familiar with tools as Figma and Miro;
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, English is a must, all other European languages a plus;
