As the Senior Director of Sales, you will have a pivotal role developing Aircapture’s sales function–setting up foundational processes and infrastructure as well as building out the field service arm of the business and a team of sales engineers. You will report to the Head of Commercialization and work closely with the company’s leadership team. You will have the opportunity to create enormous value for the organization as we expand into broader commercial opportunities to mitigate the impacts of climate change.

This is a full-time, remote or hybrid position, which will require national and international travel, including regular visits to our headquarters in Berkeley, CA.

Salary Range: $175,000-230,000 per year

What You’ll Do Here

  • Build the sales function at Aircapture including optimizing the sales process and infrastructure, hiring the field sales and sales engineer teams, helping to build our sales compensation/commission structure, and managing a sales team once we are ready to grow
  • This is a hunter role--you will seek out and secure new business opportunities and be responsible for entire sales cycle, identifying target customers and achieving quarterly and annual revenue goals and targets
  • Develop and maintain a continual pipeline
  • Partner cross-functionally with our Engineering and Operations teams to understand product development cycles and capabilities and help build our Customer Service team and strategy
  • Roll up your sleeves and create the foundational sales infrastructure, such as configuring our CRM (NetSuite), creating necessary sales assets, models and collateral for customers, and supporting contract management
  • Expect 15-40% travel

Your Skills and Abilities Include

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of experience in technology sales achieving and exceeding targets, with at least 5 years of experience successfully leading a sales team. Experience with CO2 or gas sales is preferred
  • Proven track record of developing a successful sales strategy in a nascent industry
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, from the engineering and finance teams to external customers
  • Ability to masterfully deal with complexity in an evolving startup environment and take deals from start to finish
  • Performance-driven, results-oriented, with great attention to detail
  • A great sense of humor and a sense of urgency
