Opportunity
As our VP, Engineering, you will build and lead Airbyte’s engineering team at a time of hyper-growth. You will work closely with the co-founders, product and support leaders to design and implement an engineering strategy that allows Airbyte to execute on strategic goals. You and your team will be responsible for creating the engineering roadmap that enables us to meet client needs while being at the cutting-edge of technology. You will support and mentor your team and focus on nurturing a strong engineering culture. Your vision and drive will inspire your team and help promote Airbyte as a world-class product. What You'll Do
  • Lead the Engineering organization at Airbyte.
  • Grow the team by attracting, hiring, and retaining top-tier talent.
  • Mentor and develop those around you.
  • Shape and nurture a positive, effective and highly motivated engineering culture, especially as the team continues to scale.
  • Define and track key Engineering metrics including team velocity, product reliability, and hiring targets.
  • Be hands-on and comfortable with architecture/design reviews; understand the complexities of our product.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to turn the product vision into a tangible engineering roadmap.
  • Implement more rigor to engineering processes.
