As a Senior Manager within the Global Key Accounts team, you will oversee a small team focused on Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Market Development.  Reporting in to the Global Key Accounts Director, you help drive the performance of a global portfolio of hotel chains.

You will have a strong mix of commercial, operational & technical acumen - and be an expert in presenting data / insights to commercially minded c-level executives. Your ability to empower your team and drive them to excellence, build credibility with internal and external stakeholders and provide the Key Accounts Team with actionable market intelligence will be the key to success in this role.

Responsibilities of the role:

 

  • Understand and relay complex data-related issues in a simple and easy to understand manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to present, negotiate, consult, influence and build credibility with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Lead the Key Accounts Business Intelligence team
  • Experience of effectively leading, training & developing a team
  • Build relationships, harness teamwork & inspire leadership
  • Automation and efficiency – streamline reports, processes and procedures
  • Creation and maintenance of models, reports, dashboards as required

Key Measures:

  • Provision, management and maintenance of reports, models, dashboards
  • Data quality problems and significant emerging trends identified at earliest possible opportunity
  • Improved accuracy of forecasting and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Deep expertise in the development of data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytical solutions

Qualifications / Experience:

  • 8+ years’ experience working with multi-national companies
  • Previously held hands-on leadership roles directly managing data and analytics teams, and driving change within a large, complex business
  • Extremely high level of commercial acumen, an innovator and thought leader with a proven and ability to drive outcomes

Technical Skills Required

  • Advanced Excel modelling (OLAP cubes & VBA a bonus)
  • Business Intelligence / analysis experience
  • Experience with BI/Reporting Software – Tableau particularly
  • Expert SQL, ability to write complex queries, Dbeaver / Hadoop
  • Solid technical/functional knowledge in statistics and experience using R or similar
  • Other helpful - ETL knowledge, T-SQL, batch scripts, data warehouses, ODBC.
