The Business Intelligence Analyst will be part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team and work to ensure the team has the tools, models, data sources, and technical knowledge they require.

This person should enjoy managing high volumes of commercial, financial, and operational data and be comfortable providing forecasts, analysis, and solutions. They will have the opportunity to directly influence senior management, and their conclusions will have a wide ranging impact on the commercial decisions of our business.


  • Data analytics – analyze operational and financial performance trends, and turn complex data into actionable insights
  • Creation and maintenance of models, reports, dashboards as required
  • Automation and efficiency – streamline reports, processes, and procedures, and implement best-practices for the team
  • Data quality monitoring – ensure data sources are reliable and relevant for the team’s purposes
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams on changes to/integration of additional sources of data
  • Assist the FP&A team in budgeting and forecasting process improvements, as well as the evaluation of emerging initiatives, investments, and major operational changes
  • Provide technical and analytical support to the Finance function
  • Work proactively with key business partners to closely monitor risks and opportunities and identify improvement opportunities
  • Foster strong relationships with business units by establishing a culture of support and shared accountability within the team

Key Measures:

  • Provision, management, and maintenance of reports, models, and dashboards
  • Identification of data quality problems and significant emerging trends at earliest possible opportunity
  • Improvements in the processes, methodology, and accuracy of forecasts and reports

Key Skills/Experience Required:


  • Quick learner, problem-solving aptitude, effective prioritization, attention to detail
  • Business Intelligence/data analytics experience
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English


  • Accounting/Financial knowledge and commercial acumen
  • Solid technical/functional knowledge in statistics; experience with R or similar
  • Advanced Excel modelling (OLAP cubes & VBA a bonus)
  • Good SQL, ability to write complex queries and report on findings
  • Experience with BI/Reporting Software – Tableau in particular
  • Other helpful – data mining, ETL knowledge, T-SQL, batch scripting, ODBC, Hadoop
