A Fixed Term Contract opportunity has arisen to support an exciting new pilot supporting North Somerset Council’s customer service offer. The role is face to face throughout locations in North Somerset.


We are ideally looking for 2 candidates who can work together to deliver face to face support to our most venerable customer base in a drop in surgery style from set locations throughout North Somerset.


The successful candidate must be willing to learn a variety of council services such as:


Waste & Recycling


Planning & BC


Council Tax


Although there will be no expectation to resolve all queries at first point of contact it will be your responsibility to appropriately signpost and make arrangements on behalf of the customer to access the support required from the appropriate partner agencies. You will be provided with full training, initially within a contact centre environment based in Weston S Mare. This post will be working face to face with our most venerable residents so the candidate will need to have excellent listening & communication skills, be able to work from their own initiative and will require basic computer skills to navigate around the various council systems. 


You must be able to commute to the various locations within North Somerset so a clean drivers licence and a car are essential, you will of course be paid for any milage incurred.


The locations are indicated on the table below but may be subject to change, the role is Monday – Friday 22.5 hrs per week (hours to be agreed)
