Reporting to the Tech Desk Team Manager, you will be responsible for the assist in the day to day incident and service request resolution and escalation.
The Tech Desk is a new service we are offering our clients and consists of a customer facing drop in centre based on our clients site for their staff to have ‘How do I?” questions answered, quick analysis of faulty hardware and undertaking a hot swap of kit as required and to hold and distribute small consumable items, to enhance the clients experience of ICT. As a member of the Tech Desk team you will play a key role in our service delivery and be seen as the faces of ICT, so a professional appearance and conduct is of the highest importance along with the confidence to interact with all levels of staff. Excellent oral communication is a must as this will be the main form of contact with our clients.
We are looking for a candidate that is keen to develop their skills and knowledge constantly, a passion to exceed our customers’ expectations, continuously looking at improvements to current processes and procedures and aware of new technologies that can be investigated and utilised.
The role will require you to have Security Clearance.
The position is based at the Guildhall, London site but will rotate around several sites. at regular intervals.
How will you stand out?
You will have experience and competencies across the below areas:
- Hardware support (laptops, desktops, tablets, docking stations / port replicators,).
- Supporting of Windows 7 – 10, Active Directory, McAfee Antivirus, SCCM
- Microsoft 365 and all its associated elements.
- Supporting a wide range of staff levels and ICT competencies.
- Experience of supporting a wide range of desktop applications within a corporate environment and their interaction with ICT systems.
- Proven ability in desktop and application support.
- Exceptional customer service skills’
- Ability to manage a fast paced, diverse set of requirements daily.
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive on-time delivery of tasks.
