About the role: Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be partnering with the Brand teams to reconcile advertising campaign spend and will assist in standardizing internal budgeting, forecasting & reporting. You will provide strategic insight and analysis on marketing spend by channel and category for both internal and external stakeholders..

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Validate media invoices, ensuring they align with contracted terms and services rendered. 
  • Investigate any discrepancies between planned media spend and invoiced amounts. Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any billing issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all media-related financial documents, including invoices, billing statements, and reconciliation reports.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Finance teams to reconcile media budgets, ensuring accuracy between planned and actual expenditures across various media channels (e.g., digital, print, TV, social).
  • Perform actual vs. budget variance analysis and identify any risks or opportunities associated with reported financial data - ensure monthly forecasts are accurately reflected in financial planning systems and updated with actuals at month's end.
  • Present financial documents and findings to clients
  • Generate regular reports detailing reconciled media spends, variances, and explanations for any discrepancies. Provide insights and recommendations based on reconciliation findings to optimize future budgeting and spending decisions.
  • Record keeping/documentation of Key Financial Documents to keep clients informed such as tracking invoicing & billing documents.
  • Work with Integrated Media Brand teams to manage annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts for client accounts
  • Drive improvements, automations, and governance around end-to-end financial planning processes, including planning, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and scenario modeling, while partnering with the Brand Team to build out budgets

Requirements:

  • Advanced (C2) English proficiency
  • Finance related experience, experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Ideally inclusive of macros & advanced formulas  
  • Proficient use of AI tools such as ChatGPT to streamline processes
  • Strong analytical mindset with an attention to detail and the ability to identify and quickly resolve data issues / needs
  • Comfortable working with and presenting to senior management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Thrive in fast paced startup work environment and manage tight deadlines; Flexible and adaptable to change of priorities
  • Positive, can do attitude
  • Experience communicating financial acumen effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment

Nice to have:

  • Marketing knowledge, specifically digital marketing
