As a data scientist, you will have the opportunity to bring your talent to our team of cell culture scientists and engineers to support statistical data analysis, provide feedback on experimental design, and characterization of cell culture processes. This is an opportunity to use your statistical knowledge in the field of biotherapeutics, where you work on exciting and challenging data while also learning about the cell biology involved in process optimization, characterization, small model qualification, and transfer of cell culture processes for large scale manufacturing. Our team is engaged, passionate about their work, and committed to supporting each other.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works within the with cell culture process development team to analyze raw data and make recommendations regarding statistical methods; Assists in experimental design and planning; Assists in the selection of the appropriate study design and appropriate statistical analysis plans. Manage large data sets and provide technical guidance to others in the analysis and interpretation of data
- Write development protocols and characterization reports
- Provide technical support to manufacturing during large scale manufacturing campaigns
- Provides guidance and oversight in producing statistical analysis and reports, including statistical sections of regulatory submissions. Will also work with our team of scientists as needed to discuss data and analysis with regulators.
- Helps develop data collection tools, provides statistical guidance and training to the wider Process Development team; Works with manager to standardize process development protocols and practices.
- Assists in data management, may provide recommendations for improving data management practices
- Looks to develop own scientific and statistical skill set. Embedded within a team of cell culture biologists and chemical engineers, will also learn about bioreactors and cell culture process development from Process Development colleagues.
