SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our growing team with diverse knowledge and experience to ensure the availability, reliability, and optimization of all operational and functional aspects of a predominately Windows-based environment. This person will monitor and maintain all components of server operating environments including system, software, and hardware (troubleshooting and diagnostics). Key responsibilities include assisting in research, development, and implementing solutions to maintain and enhance current systems, providing 3rd tier support to other IT staff, implementing and enforcing policies, evaluating new technologies to enhance our computing environments, and applying updates to current applications and system infrastructure. The right candidate will be highly motivated, self-sufficient, will enjoy working in a fast-paced collaborative team environment, and be autonomous enough to get work completed on time.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILIES:

  • Daily administration and operation of servers, network, and application environments
  • Assist in integration of new applications and technologies
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with new technologies as needed
  • Provide training and documentation to others as needed or required
  • Work closely with other areas of business operations
  • Provide 24 X 7 on-call support along with other team members
  • Serve as helpdesk escalation resource

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Microsoft & Networking certifications
  • Microsoft Exchange, Corporate Antivirus, and Backup Softwares
  • HPE & Dell Server technologies
  • Enterprise Storage technologies
  • Tier 1 networking configuration / troubleshooting experience / wireless management
  • Knowledge & experience of F5 products
  • Hyper-V experience
  • Enterprise Monitoring / System Monitoring, log management, and event analysis experience
  • Team oriented and willing to assist other members when needed
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, able to work independently, multi-task, respond to changing priorities and initiative to own specific tasks
  • Some relational database experience (SQL Server, Oracle, Access)
  • Knowledge and experience with infrastructure monitoring solutions
  • Strong problem evaluation/triage, troubleshooting, and resolution skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS or Microsoft Certification preferred
  • 5+ years working in a Microsoft Server OS environment (including AD administration)
  • 3+ years working with Windows Desktops/Laptops and or Windows Server environments
  • 2+ years of experience with network/systems administration
  • Previous experience in the Life Sciences industry strongly preferred

 

COMPENSATION BAND:

$87,417.00 - $104,900.00
