The Payroll Analyst plays an integral role within the finance team. This position will partner with the Payroll Manager to ensure the processing of timely, accurate and complete payroll labor and financial data as a shared service of US operations.
Assist with day-to-day payroll administration, including bi-weekly payroll processing, review of timesheet records correcting inaccuracies, and acting as the initial point of contact for inquiries and issues related to payroll
Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits and garnishments
Track and manage liens, garnishments, and all other special payroll deductions
Responsible for coordination efforts between HR and Finance to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee payroll data
Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses
Stay up-to-date on state and federal payroll and tax laws
Reconciliation of Payroll balance sheet accounts
Other accounting duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must be a highly motivated, creative problem solver, with the proven ability to use independent judgment and initiative to identify problems and recommend solutions.
Must be customer service oriented, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be detailed and organized with the ability to consistently meet deadlines and show flexibility with changing priorities
Demonstrated ability to work well with vendors and other departments within the organization
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel, Access, Word, Outlook
Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 4 years’ experience
Experience with ADP Workforce Now highly preferred
Computer and financial system/ERP experience required; experience with MS Dynamics AX highly preferred
Equivalent education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
