Your Future Role:

Agari is looking for a technically strong, energetic, highly collaborative, and passionate leader to manage our software engineering teams. In this role, you’ll work closely with managers from all departments to deliver features on a roadmap to customer delight.

Your Impact:

  • Technical leadership and people management of 2-4 development teams
  • Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with cross functional teams, product owners and engineers
  • Make critical decisions that attribute to the success of the product
  • Be proactive in foreseeing issues and resolving them before they have an adverse impact
  • Partner with Product Management to align objectives, priorities, tradeoffs and risk
  • Ensuring teams have clear priorities and adequate resources
  • Empowering the delivery teams to self organize
  • Providing technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
  • Maintaining high morale and motivating the delivery teams to go above and beyond
  • Vocally advocating for technical excellence and helping the teams make good decisions
  • Participating in architecture discussions and planning
  • Participating in cross-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams
  • Maintaining and fostering our culture by interviewing and hiring only the most qualified individuals
  • Have a passion for Agari’s cyber security mission with a willingness, once clearly understood, to be an internal and customer facing spokesperson

Keys to Success:

  • 8+ years in software development, 6+ years leading teams with a distinguished track record on technically demanding projects
  • Masters / Bachelors degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with short release cycles, the full software lifecycle, and experience working on a product that’s been released for enterprise customers
  • Working experience of software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience in hiring, mentoring and managing engineers
  • Be a force-multiplier and have a passion for team and team members’ success
  • Success in rapid, iterative, agile software development environments
  • Experience working with public cloud providers (e.g. AWS)

Bonus Points (not required, but preferred):

  • Machine-learning and/or Cyber-security experience
