THE ROLE

AG1 is seeking a passionate Senior Creative Director, to shape our global Creative Vision and Expression, and boldly differentiate the AG1 brand. In this role, you will lead our Integrated Creative Studio - a team of 15+ team Copywriters and Designers, cross-functional creators, editors and shooters, as well as external agencies.This role will focus on Storytelling, Content and Digital Marketing/Performance Marketing excellence. 

The position mandates outstanding capabilities in original thinking, storytelling and messaging/copywriting, combined with the leadership and operational skills required to build a high-performing, highly-engaged creative culture and team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Bring the essence of AG1 to life by leading and overseeing all creative development (design, art, copy) for all campaigns and advertising, content, social media, site, lifecycle marketing, packaging and performance marketing assets across the customer experience. 
  • Partner with cross-functional departments (Strategy, Media, Partnerships, Community, Digital Product, etc) to develop creative briefs and deliver marketing assets (from full-fledged campaigns to singular assets) that tell compelling stories and meet performance objectives.
  • Own and dynamically build upon the AG1 brand system as a living document, including our visual identity and voice, to support all public-facing touch points.
  • Develop and maintain a flexible creative system that both supports the aggressive growth goals of the business while cultivating a long-term Brand, factoring in the nuances between channel goals and funnel placement. 
  • Lead and expand an internal creative team, including designers & copywriters, backed by a culture of bold creativity and trust. 
  • Stand up a flexible & agile creative ecosystem fueled by winning ideas sourced broadly (including from agencies, partners and team members companywide) that can quickly develop into real-life execution.
  • Collaborate with key functional Design and Copy leadership to ensure proper senior oversight on all initiatives, including video production, photography, campaigns, etc. 
  • Build an accessible and proven creative production process that produces top quality work through capable project flow and transparent prioritization.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 8+ years of experience in brand creative direction (including 3-5 years of creative leadership), with deep experience in Content and Messaging. Experience in health and/or DTC ecommerce space is a plus.
  • Ideal mix of exposure to both in-house and agency experience with a track record of growing creative teams and capabilities. 
  • Dynamic, attention-getting portfolio that demonstrates your creative vision, aesthetic and ability to connect brands to culture across a multitude of channels & activations. 
  • Passion for the role of customer insights and performance data in shaping creative output, and can set a culture that embraces these essential feedback loops.
  • Experience balancing the challenges of building a lifestyle brand while rapidly expanding customer base; ability to effectively manage creative tensions inherent in rapid growth. 
  • Highly collaborative nature with ability to partner across multiple functions throughout a company. 
  • Helpful teammate and listener interested in producing the best outcome for the good of the team. 
  • Ability to demonstrate flexible decision-making based on changing circumstances and feedback.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced growth environment, including dealing with ambiguity, shifting priorities and rapid iteration. 
  • Previous experience implementing systems that enable growth.
  • A genuine dedication to people - helping them, understanding them and getting them excited about their own health and happiness.
  • Ability and willingness to jump in and develop creative output while building a larger team. This role will have a hands-on component, especially at the start. 
  • Keen attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple work streams at once. 
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $163,000 - $208,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
