As a member of the Affinitiv Infrastructure team, the System Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of onsite systems hardware & software. The System Administrator provides support and is responsible for answering and resolving technical support calls / tickets from employees.  The System Administrator will have the ability to be self motivated, organize work goals, work under general supervision and have a certain degree of creativity and flexibility.

On-Site Data Center Location - Tampa Location is a Must.  

Description

  • Assist with the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems within a datacenter located in Tampa.
  • Assist with the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows operating systems and related software.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal uptime and availability.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and groups in Active Directory.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and collaborate with vendors for support.
  • Perform regular backup and recovery operations to ensure data integrity.
  • Patch and update systems with the latest security patches and software versions.
  • Assist in network administration tasks like configuring routers, switches, and firewalls

Qualifications:

On-Site Data Center Location - Tampa Location is a Must

  • Provision, set up, maintain and monitor production Windows applications on Amazon Web Services’ Elastic Cloud Compute (AWS EC2) platform or similar cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Manage/Implement Enterprise Firewalls Cisco and Fortigate and be familiar with AWS VPC environments.
  • 1+ years administering MS Windows Server roles or features such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, File Services, IIS, Group Policy, and Print Management
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL servers
  • Assist with the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal uptime and availability.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and groups in Active Directory.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and collaborate with vendors for support.
  • Perform regular backup and recovery operations to ensure data integrity.
  • Patch and update systems with the latest security patches and software versions.
  • Assist in network administration tasks like configuring routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, network protocols, Active Directory, and other server technologies is required
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting, virtualization technologies, and backup solutions is also preferred
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are required
  • Must have effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for interacting with team members and end-users.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation, system configuration, and maintenance tasks.
  • Possess an understanding of security principles and best practices, including user access control, data encryption, vulnerability management, and patching
  • Possess a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently is needed
