The Senior Director, GTM is highly focused on the customer buying journey and experience in support of our revenue and ACV goals. This person is responsible for understanding the customers’ needs and connecting them to the right solutions to meet those needs. The Senior Director, GTM will focus on generating leads and moving customers through the buying journey, understanding which channels are most effective to reach our target customer segments, enabling Growth to successfully engage prospects, and working across functions to facilitate great customer experiences. This person will also manage a product/offering marketer, who will have direct responsibilities to support those products and offerings from development through launch/sales.



The following duties include, but are not limited to...

  • Lead the strategy and implementation for how we support our GTM sales team
    • Own the development and alignment of our GTM framework .
    • Enable Growth to successfully engage customers and meet ACV goals by developing and executing a strategic sales enablement plan (tools, assets, processes, communications, and knowledge sharing) based on best practices.
    • Develop and execute go-to-market programs for new solutions (e.g., descriptive analysis product), and market segments (e.g., Commercial).
    • Partner closely with Product to gain a deep understanding of the product vision, roadmap, and upcoming functionality to support external communications and user engagement.
    • Proactively identify customer success stories and bring those stories to life for use in marketing (e.g., expand value stories compendium to meet new solutions).
  • Ensure a healthy funnel for quality lead generation 
    • Align definitions with Growth for MQLs and SQLs
    • Develop a roadmap for lead generation by segment based on historical Marketing and Growth data and secondary research to reach our 1-3 year goals
    • Support sales enablement programs and events designed for lead generation such as conferences (e.g., ISPOR).
    • Coordinate with marketers from Replica and other acquisitions to ensure seamless promotion and metrics to ensure successful lead generation
  • Provide the Voice of the Customer to internal decision making
    • Develop a deep understanding of our customer segments and their needs, how our solutions meet those needs, and how satisfied our customers are with our solutions (e.g., through a customer experience dashboard).
    • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Brand and Segment Marketing to shape our selling framework, messaging, and value proposition and generate supporting collateral.
  • Support efforts to optimize account performance and potential
    • Create content (e.g. thought leadership, videos, website copy, blog posts, infographics) to articulate the benefits of the solution to the marketplace.
    • Create and maintain a library of sales tools, such as customer presentations and competitive materials.
    • Develop and execute marketing plans to cross-sell, up-sell, and retain revenue with current accounts and drive new business in biopharma (e.g., ABM). 
    • Empower Growth to communicate our solutions effectively to prospective customers through improved demo capabilities.
    • Work closely with Growth to identify areas for support and communicate strategic enablement initiatives.
    • Collaborate with Delivery to support customer experience efforts.
    • Create and implement Aetion’s first loyalty program.
  • Engage as a leader of the Customer Organization
    • Manage and coach the Product Manager and other members of the GTM team
    • Act as a strategic thought partner, bringing new ideas to the team while remaining customer-focused.
    • Take on special projects to support a hypergrowth, early-stage firm that serves an evolving market.


  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, sales, and/or consulting, with preference for candidates with Life Science real-world data (RWD) experience.
  • MBA or Masters equivalent preferred.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with other teams and across all levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop clear, concise, compelling messaging across different audiences and channels.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, collaborative, creative, and analytical.
  • Fast learner and proven ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize time effectively to meet multiple objectives.
  • Sincere interest in learning about the business of healthcare; can readily/swiftly navigate through change and ambiguity; eager to improve processes and productivity.
