Position Overview: As a Product Manager specializing in Programming Models at Aerospike you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our database products. You will be responsible for defining, developing, and delivering programming models that enable seamless integration, efficient data manipulation, and optimal performance for developers utilizing our database solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and prioritize product requirements for programming models based on market research, customer feedback, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement programming interfaces, libraries, and tools that streamline development workflows and enhance developer productivity.
- Work closely with product marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, and messaging for programming model features and enhancements.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation in programming models across various database platforms.
- Act as a subject matter expert on programming models, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Drive product adoption and customer satisfaction by gathering feedback, analyzing usage metrics, and iterating on features to meet evolving customer needs.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry standards, and best practices related to programming models and database development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
advanced degree preferred. An additional concentration in Economics or Business is a plus.
- Proven experience 3 years as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, or similar role, with a focus on developer tools, programming interfaces, or database technologies.
- Strong understanding of programming languages, data structures, and algorithms, with proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, or SQL.
- Experience with programming frameworks (.Net, Spring Data, Node.JS)
- Experience working with database systems (e.g., relational, NoSQL, distributed) and familiarity with database concepts such as query optimization, indexing, and transaction management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise product requirements and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, prioritize competing demands, and drive results in a fast-paced, agile environment.
