Adzerk is hiring a VP of Business Development to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience building and launching a successful native or sponsored listing ad platform, or operating one at a large platform.

The candidate should be a natural super connector, the kind of person who loves to meet new people, quickly form connections, and believes in helping others without the expectation of reward in return. This position reports directly to the CEO and will be responsible for engaging, developing and elevating Adzerk throughout the industry.

Position Location: San Francisco or New York

Goals

Raise our profile

  • Network with PMs, CTOs, and other leaders at marketplaces, e-commerce, and utility publishers.
  • Identify and attend (and possibly speak) at relevant conferences

Leverage Investors and Advisors

  • Work with our current investors, advisors, and friends of Adzerk to create new connections with potential customers and partners
  • Build programs to promote to VC and PE firms to educate their companies about our product

Evangelize Sponsored Listings and Native Ad Platforms 

  • Provide free consultations for companies in our space.
  • Contribute articles to Ad.Product about relevant trends, news
  • Participate in discussions on Twitter, Quora, and other relevant places.
  • Educate PMs, CTOs, and other leaders at marketplaces, e-commerce, and utility publishers about how launching sponsored listings is easier than they expect (and that it can drive significant revenue)

Generate Leads for Sales

  • Through networking identify potential prospects and provide warm introductions to sales at the right time.

Build relationships with relevant companies, organizations (not potential customers)

  • Negotiate and sign deals with companies that we share potential customers with.

Promote partnerships and relationships with other companies

  • Work with marketing to announce new partnerships
  • Work with partner companies marketing/PR for announcements

Product Discovery

  • Introduce the product team to potential future customers for product research
  • Provide insight and feedback to Product based on what they are seeing in other companies.
