Adzerk is the market leader in APIs for sites and apps to build their own ad servers. It’s most commonly used to build or expand upon sponsored listing programs, native ad solutions or internal promotion functionality. Our customer list is a global who’s who in the Internet space, with names like Ticketmaster, Edmunds, WeTransfer, and Bed Bath & Beyond. As our first Content Marketing Manager, you’ll be just the second person on the marketing team and will be pivotal in shaping how we communicate with the market.

We are looking for an exceptional writer and individual contributor to oversee our content writing, content calendar, social presence, and email marketing programs. You’ll report to the VP of Marketing.

What will your main responsibilities be?

  • Own our Ad.Product initiative. Ad.Product is a community of product managers interested in content around ad tech. It’s new, and we are looking for someone to be the voice and owner of the project
  • Develop content strategy and content calendar for both Adzerk and Ad.Product
  • Write multiple articles a week
  • Work with freelancers for additional content
  • Build and engage with our Ad.Product community members
  • Manage Adzerk’s social accounts (Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn)
  • Oversee our email marketing efforts for both Ad.Product and Adzerk
  • Assist in miscellaneous marketing projects as needed, including product research, outbound marketing, customer updates, conferences, etc

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Loves writing and has experience doing it in a professional setting
  • Feels comfortable owning a project from start to finish and can hit tight deadlines 
  • Is a charismatic go-getter with a knack for relationship building
  • Is comfortable with change and being in a fast-paced environment
  • Can learn about and talk to technical subjects. While we don’t expect you to have a technical background, we want someone who can learn the key terminology/concepts quickly and speak to them in a knowledgeable manner
  • Is creative, innovative, and has a great sense of humor
  • Understands the importance of the Oxford comma

What would make you really stand out?

  • Experience creating B2B content
  • Experience in ad tech
  • Experience engaging with a community through email/social
  • Proficiency with marketing tools such as Mailchimp and Hubspot
  • Proficiency with HTML coding (for formatting articles)

Things you should know about the Marketing team:

  • The Marketing team is currently just the VP of Marketing - you would be the first hire onto the team
  • The Marketing team works very collaboratively with the product and sales teams
  • Marketing at Adzerk oversees content, the website, paid spend, conferences, awards, sales collateral, competitive research, new markets, and more
