Indirect Tax Manager

In this role you will work on both team & individual projects to ensure that Adyen's indirect tax structure is well set up for our continued growth and global expansion. You are proactive, practical and gain a lot of energy from improving, automating and scaling. You’ve affinity with data & technology and use it for coming up with solutions. 

You would report to the Global Head of Tax, and be part of the centralized, Amsterdam-based tax team, which is made up of colleagues in Indirect Tax, Wage Tax, Tax Data & Technology, International Tax & Transfer Pricing. 

You will

  • Have a lot of freedom, and own specific projects as part of Adyen’s indirect tax matters
  • Review our current indirect tax set-up and ensure it’s well structured for our continued growth and global expansion
  • Always look for ways of optimizing processes and automating manual tasks to ensure the indirect tax function (incl. related compliance) is as efficient as possible
  • Look after the indirect tax aspects of our (new) products
  • Implementing the outcome of your tax analysis
  • Review and sign-off on tax returns
  • Deal with tax audits, as and when they arise
  • Interact with stakeholders across multiple functions and regions; including the wider finance organization, as well as Product managers, Country, Account Managers and tax authorities

Who you are

  • You’re not afraid to think out-of-the box and are able to come up with creative solutions
  • You have a mindset of constantly improving, automating and scaling
  • You’re a go-getter, take ownership and are not afraid of doing the work yourself and do things outside your comfort zone
  • You’ve affinity with data and indirect tax technology and use this to come up with solutions
  • You have proven experience in an (international) indirect tax role and a masters degree
  • You thrive in a rapidly-changing environment
  • In-house experience, and an exposure to the digital economy/financial institutions is a plus
